Our Next Mini Goldendoodle Litter

So far, Maybelline and Rocket have been bred 3 times (using AI), on September 2nd, September 3rd and September 5th.  So the clock is ticking.  We have been very encouraged by these there breedings so far.  Rocket's semen output was 10ml on the first time, 15ml on the second time, and 12ml on the third time; more than our larger GR stud's output.  On all 3 couplings, semen retention was excellent; with little to no vaginal seepage.  In short, we're off to a great start!

If all goes according to schedule, we will take Maybelline into the Vet on or around October 3rd for an ultrasound to verify pregnancy and to get a rough idea how many puppies there will be.  This will be an important milestone, because depending on the results, we'll begin accepting preorders for a limited number of puppies; probably 25% of the expected litter size.

Three weeks after the ultrasound, we'll take Maybelline back to the Vet for an X-ray to get a more accurate headcount on the number of expected puppies
